Which is the Best & Worst time to eat particular food items?


We know which is the healthy food and which ones are not but sometimes what time we eat a particular food item also affects our health. Like, if some fruits are eaten in the evening then we might get cold. Many of don’t know about this and thinking it to healthy, eat it anytime. There are certain facts and effects related to every food item and one must know about them before having them.

Here are some must-know facts about some food items:

1. Rice
You know that rice is rich in carbohydrates and is a good source of energy. But too much of it can make you fat. So if you love rice, have it at the right time. Rice is suggested to be eaten during lunch because you have the rest of the day’s work to use the carbohydrates. You should avoid rice for dinner because at night you don’t work and metabolism is less. You will not be able to use the carbohydrates and your body fat will increase.


2. Milk
Milk is said to be the major source of protein for vegetarians. It is a good source of a lot of nutrients and helps in growth. It even makes a person strong. However, milk can become heavy and difficult to digest sometimes. It is suggested to not have it the morning for breakfast, which many people do because it is heavy and can spoil your meal timings. Having it at night gives you a good and healthy sleep.

3. Apple
They say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away and we consider it the healthiest food ever. But did you know it can be unhealthy if eaten at the wrong time? It is said that one should not have it during evening or night because apple’s organic acids can increase the acid levels in your stomach which will make you feel really miserable and uncomfortable. The best time for eating apples is in the morning.


4. Walnuts
Walnuts have a really healthy effect on the brain. It doesn’t have any harmful effects considering the time you eat but it can have no effect. It is said that evening is the best time to eat walnuts because during the night, morning or afternoon, the effects are lesser.

5. Meat
So meat lovers don’t worry. Meat is a rich source of protein and not that bad. It also helps you to gain a lot of strength. But it is a hard food and difficult to digest. Therefore, it is suggested you avoid it for dinner because at night you feel miserable due to a heavy stomach. Having meat for lunch would be perfectly healthy and tasty!

6. Cheese
I don’t think there is anyone who hates cheese. I mean it is a perfect delicacy. Cheese is said to be a brilliant substitute for meat for the vegetarians as it is rich in protein and gives you strength. But if you have it at night then you will cry for sleep because it is not just heavy to digest but it can accumulate body fat. It is advisable you have during morning or afternoon. 

7. Pulses
Pulses are high in fibre and proteins. They help in improving digestion and reduce cholesterol level. It is better we have it at noon as it will give us a good sleep and a better digestion. But if we have it in the morning then it can be a problem because it leads to a good appetite but sometimes so good that it will make you go crazy in hunger. It will make you binge for food.

8. Bananas
Bananas are rich in fibre and help you have better digestion. It also soothes heartburn. However, it is suggested you should not have it in the evening or at night because it can lead to mucus formation which will cause you cold and fever. Also, you should not eat bananas empty stomach because they are rich in magnesium and can cause stomach upset. Best time to eat bananas is during noon.
